On October 18th, Happie Hoffman and I drove from Austin to New Orleans on our way to Memphis, TN and played a small coffeehouse show at Fair Grinds Coffeehouse on Ponce De Leon. Fair Grinds is a downright beautiful coffeehouse with all of the charm you would imagine from a New Orleans staple.  Happie and I played a mix of covers and originals in an intimate acoustic set from 8:30- 9:30. Fair Grinds is a great spot and New Orleans is definitely going to be a tour stop for years to come.

In other news, tons of great stuff is in the works! My debut album title track "All These Little Loves" was selected to be on MPress Records' "New Arrivals Vol. 5" album for Hurricane Sandy relief! The album will be released digitally on October 29th worldwide, so be sure to check it out! Also, "Stay" was featured on Radio Crystal Blue, a Philadelphia free-form radio station this past week. You can check it out in the 'Novus Ordo' show from October 13th.

NOLA

Hello friends! Life has been crazy and beautiful and hectic since my last post, which is exactly the way I like it! September 13th I had the pleasure of playing a show in Philly with some old and new friends. Kevin Brosky, guitarist/vocalist and songwriter for Arizona Lights is an old buddy and former bandmate of mine from high school and this show was something of a long-overdue reunion. The ever-so-talented Ty Hooker-Haring came down from NYC to rock some Philly Phaces and Kevin and his Arizona Lights bandmate John Bridstrup joined me for the set to kick off the night. North Star Bar was a killer venue and I was blown-away by mix of friends and fans that showed up for the night. I can't thank everyone enough for coming out in support. 

We'll definitely be back at North Star sometime soon and I'm sure we'll rock it even harder the next time. I want to give a big shout out to Arizona Lights and Tumbleweed Wanderers for rocking the house that night. Arizona Lights is a local Philly band that you should all check out (http://arizonalights.bandcamp.com/) and Tumbleweed Wanderers are an insanely talented band based out of the Bay-area (http://tumbleweedwanderers.com/). If you're in the Philly area and missed out, never-fear! We'll be back soon - bigger, better and louder!

August 2013 Recap
Hey all! Just wanted to recap a great run of shows and give some shout-outs to some awesome people. 

August 26th I had the opportunity to play a SonicBids showcase at Tammany Hall on the Lower East Side in NYC. Wow. It was such a great night in so many ways. I had the pleasure of playing with an old friend and a brand new one in Tynan Hooker-Haring and Max Yassky. I've known Ty for a few years, and had played a show with him about a year and a half ago, but Max I met the day of the show. Luckily for me, both of these guys are insanely talented and down to play at the drop of a hat. After a hurried practice and some motivational speeches, we headed over to the venue. 
The bill was made up of 4 artists: Mike Hamel, Grace Kelly, Crier Brothers and myself. Everyone put on a great show and you should definitely check out their stuff. We went on at 11pm and played to a crowd that totally blew my mind. I saw faces that I hadn't seen in the better part of a decade, close friends, family, and new friends alike. The show was an absolute blast, and I have to give a big shout-out to Tammany Hall for hosting the event and SonicBids for putting it together. 
The next day I made the drive to State College, PA for a two-night run at Penn State University. On the 27th I played solo at a welcome-back BBQ for students. The event took place on the steps of Old Main, the oldest building in the University. It was a fun crowd and a great way to start my stay at PSU. 
﷯The following day I was introduced to my friend's neighbor, Ben Stanley, whom I was told played the stand-up bass. The rest, as they say, was a day full of incredible practice and collaboration. That night, Ben and I played a show at Webster's Cafe and Bookstore. Thank you to everyone who came out to support! It was a ridiculously fun night for me and it was great to see familiar and new faces enjoying the show. A huge thanks to Webster's for inviting us to play, and to Ben for changing the way I hear my own music. We'll definitely be back to Penn State soon and another Webster's show is certainly in order. 
All in all it was a great start to the touring season! We've got plenty more shows coming up, first one being a crazy-awesome bill at North Star Bar in Philadelphia on September 13th! I look forward to seeing you on the road this year, so let me know where I should be going next. Fill out our tour survey and I might just be seeing you soon!
